somatic movement

A space for you to move, to explore, to express and to connect.

In my somatic classes, you will meet a fluid, curious and down-to-earth approach to movement. With an emphasis on the internal experience of our bodies, the invitation is for you to dive into a soft, playful and vibrant exploration of what is held, stored and alive within. Rather than aiming for specific forms-shapes-goals, we let our bodies lead the way, thereby gently cultivating a greater sensitivity and connectedness to our inner terrain.

My prenatal-classes weave together my passion for somatics, birthwork and community. The classes typically offer a combination of strength to support the physical changes of the body, a general invitation to get curious about your body as it is today and a soft and nurturing pace to recalibrate the nervous system. On the mat, we practice the connection between movement, breath and bodily intuition to support your journey off the mat throughout your pregnancy and into your forthcoming birth. Most importantly, the class is an invitation for you to connect with your breath, your bodymind, your intuition, and your little one - in a heartwarming space of people who in each their own way are on a journey like yours.

The slow classes are rooted in the perspective of Embodied Yin - a somatic and non-dual approach to yin - as well as weaving in elements of Myofascial Release practice. Through a soft elemental journey, we invite our bodies and nervous systems to unwind and regulate.

You are so very welcome at all stages of your pregnancy and need to previous experience with yoga or somatics to join in.
